      Yakima - R. Norman Jahr, 75, of Tieton, died Wednesday, Decembert 19, 1990 in Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

      He was born August 14, 1915 in Chicago, IL to Kurt and Emily (Schroeder) Jahr. He married Juanita Schut in July of 1975 at Highland United Methodist Church. He worked as a helicopter mechanic for many years. He was an avid woodworker.

      Survivors include his wife, Juanita, of the residence; a daughter, Linda Baxter of Quincy; six step-children, Dick Schut of Yakima, Sharon Schieber and Rhona Cardona, both of California, Michael Schut of Deer Park, Harlan Scherer of Kennewick, Harvey Scherer of Michigan; eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

      Services will be held Saturday at 11 am in Keith & Keith 9th Ave. Chapel. Burial will be in West Hills Memorial Park.
