Ruth grew up on a farm in Minnesota and was active in 4-H and loved to roller skate.
She received her nursing degree from Fairview Hospital In Minneapolis, MN, and married Lloyd Rens in 1958. They lived in Minnesota and North Dakota before moving to LaSalle, CO, in 1970. Ruth worked as a pediatric nurse at North Colorado Medical Center until the age of 70. She continued to volunteer following her retirement.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, six grandchildren, one brother, and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three siblings, and her son, Rod Rens.--Info. from obituary printed in North Weld Herald/Central Weld Voice, Jan. 14, 2016, Pg. 3
