Wanda Marie Davis
Funeral services for Wanda Marie Davis, 59, of Blessing will be held 10 a. m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Blessing with the Rev. Larry Holden officiating. Burial will follow at Hawley Cemetery, Blessing.
Mrs. Davis was born Nov. 4, 1930, to Claude Stuart and Lula E. Schaffer Williams in Bay City and died June 21, 1990, at Matagorda General Hospital.
A resident of Blessing since 1970, she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Leland H. “Dave” Davis of Blessing; a son, Claude Stuart Mattson of West Columbia; mother, Lula E. Callaway of Bay City; a sister Barbara Green of Blessing; a brother, Jackie E. Williams of Bay City; and two granddaughters, Tony and Andrea Mattson of West Columbia.
She is preceded in death by her father, who died in 1941, and her daughter, Carol Annet Mattson, in 1958.
Pallbearers are Billy Jalufka, Earl Adams Jr., Edward Vavra Jr., Melvin Taska, Donnie Harvey, Weldon Popek, David Green and E. R. Vacek Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are men of the First Baptist Church in Blessing.
Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.
