Dorothy Nore of Minot, formerly of Stanley, died March 18, 2009 at a Trinity Nursing Home. Her memorial services will be Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 2p.m. at the Springan Funeral Home with a burial following at Fairview Cemetery in Stanley, ND.
Dorothy was born Oct. 11, 1925 in Los Angeles, CA to Wesley Faircloth and Helen Hargis. She was raised in Los Angeles and graduated from Garfield H.S. in 1943.
Dorothy married Robert (Bob) Nore of Coulee, ND the son of Oscar and Lena Davick Nore of Stanley, ND. Lena is a sister to Peter A. Davick and Marie Davick Christensen.
They moved to Stanley, ND in 1948, where they raised their six children. She moved to Minot in 1990 where she lived until she entered the Trinity Nursing Home in Minot.
She is survived by her children:
1. Susan (Wick) Gramling, Florissant, CO.
2. Robert (Debbie) Nore, Jr. Madison, AL
3. Marvin (Debbie) Nore, Casselberry, FL
4. Marilyn Borchardt, Minot
5. Laura Meiers of Jamestown, ND
6. Jeffrey Nore, Anniston, AL
and also by her twin brother, Donald, and sister Virginia, both of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Louise and June and her husband, Bob.
Dorothy was a very kind and outgoing person who was very likable and was dedicated to her family.
