      Steffeline Amelia Davick Nore was the fifth child of Peder Valdemar Rassumson Davick and Kristiana Leffdahl (Norweign immigrants). She was born Sept. 1, 1896 in Woonsocket, Sanborn County, SD where her parents homesteaded.

      Lena moved with her parents siblings to Minnesota and then to a farm near Stanley, ND. In 1917 she married Oscar Clarence Nore. She attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Coulee, ND. Oscar was a farmer near Stanley, ND.


      Lena and Oscar had 6 children:
      1.Perdin Orville Nore 5-8-1918 to 1-9-43 Killed in Guadalcanal during WWII.

      2. Earl "Bud" Kenneth Nore 4-8-1920 to Oct 1944 Alingas, Sweden. He was killed in an Army Air Corp crash on the coast of Malmo, Sweden in WWII.
