Kathryn M. Knaack, 78, of Edmonds, WA, died May 23, 2001 in Shoreline, WA. Born and raised in Seattle, where she graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Education. She taught school in Oakland, CA and the Philippines before she returned to teach in Seattle Public Schools, where she retired. Her love for travel took her to places like China, Scandinavia and to visit friends and family in Hawai'i . She enjoyed the theater, symphony and museums. She also loved to watch Husky football games and had season tickets for many years.
She is survived by sisters, Janey Burns of Kirkland, WA, Susan Knaack (Jeff Leucht) of Hilo, HI , Tricia Knaack (Richard Blocker) of Slidell, LA, nieces Emily and Megan Leucht of Hilo HI .
