Dale Lee was born on March 22, 1931, and with calmness and peace, died on February 16, 2012 with his youngest daughter at his side. Dale was proud to be of Norwegian descent. His father, Matt Lee (Mathias Peder Johannes Silvertsen Lisetter), emmigrated from Norway to Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1905, and later to North Dakota where he married Emma Angleshaug who was born of Norwegian parents in North Dakota. They later moved to Ballard, Wa.
Brother, Wally; and sisters, Doris and Arlene, preceded him in death; along with Marylee Kellenburger, his fiance of thirty years, whom he first met delivering newspapers as a young boy.
He is survived by brother, Vernon; his ten children; and many grandchildren.
Dale was known to everyone he met as "Handsome Dale." His mail carrier would get a chuckle when delivering his mail, and would tease Dale about it. Dale was a very hard worker, he learned the construction business from his father, owned a Standard Oil franchise for many years, raised mink, flew airplanes, managed Lazy Wheels mobile home park in Bothell where he made many friends. He enjoyed bowling, playing basketball, and salmon fishing.
He was a genuine, kind, sincere gentleman. He was very loving, and had what really matters; the love of his family and friends. "You've done your job well Dad. We are all so proud of you and have a piece of you in our hearts that will live on. Thank you for being you."
We love you, Dad. We will celebrate and toast Dale at Kenmore Lanes, Kenmore.
