Ann M. Wasicek was born February 22, 1931 in Charlotte, TX to Frank and Anna Manna Vancik. She passed to her eternal reward on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
She met her husband, L.D. Wasicek in high school in Sealy, TX where they became "high school sweethearts" and they were married on November 2, 1949.
Ann's first love was the LORD and doing his work-night and day where ever she was at. Ann, L.D. and their sons, Larry and Bill, moved to Victoria in April 1955. She taught classes, being active in any and all of the activities at the Central Church of Christ, along with taking children and sometimes parents into her home. Ann also worked as office manager, accountant, plus helping to design and decorate homes, designing, developing sub-divisions in the family business for 58 plus years before becoming ill. She did all the above plus doing a super job raising 3 sons and 1 daughter.
She is survived by her husband, L.D. Wasicek of 65 years and 3 days; a brother, Henry Vancik of Clarkston, WA.
The Lord blessed this family with four children: sons, Larry D. Wasicek and wife June, of Victoria; William J. Wasicek and wife Bonnie, of Victoria; Michael D. Wasicek and wife Jan, of Tomball; daughter, Kathy Bays and husband David, of Marshall; eight grandchildren, Corey Wasicek, Chris Wasicek, Wyatt Wasicek, Susan Schneider, Bryan Wasicek, Kara Bruegger, Rachel Bays, Jennifer Bays and eleven great grandchildren.
Ann Wasicek was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Annie Vancik; sisters, Janet Vancik, Amelia Keperta; brother, Joe Vancik and granddaughter, Kristy Wasicek.
Interment will follow services in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wyatt Wasicek, Bryan Wasicek, Corey Wasicek, Chris Wasicek, Scott Schneider, Paul Bruegger, Sam Neil and Roy McLaurin. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the people that Ann has touched (or helped) while on this earth.
