Arthur Lee Jan, Jr., 57, of Needville, Texas, passed away on February 17, 2026. He was born on August 8, 1968 in Wharton, Texas to Arthur and Linda Jan. Lee graduated from Needville High School and continued his education at Wharton County Junior College where he obtained his associate degree in drafting and designing. Upon graduation, he secured his first and only job with Fluor Corporation. He devoted nearly 38 years to his career. He was known for his unwavering loyalty and dedication to his job.

On October 8, 1988, Lee married his high school sweetheart, Patti Lamensky Jan. Together they built a life and a family they loved. In addition to his wife, Patti, Lee is survived by his loving mother, Linda Jan, and his three children and their spouses, Kirby Jan Deere and husband, Derek Deere; Coleman Jan and wife, Molly; and Madison Jan Wenske and husband, Clayton Wenske. He is also survived by his sister, Shelley (Jan) Wendt and husband, Wade; and brother, Nathan Jan and wife, Marissa; along with his in-laws, Kristi and Tony Novosad, Lori and Robert Demny, David Lamensky, and Richard and Cindy Lamensky. In addition, Lee will be sorely missed by his loving nephews and nieces, Mitchell Wendt; Nolan Wendt; Alexis Jan; Tayton Jan; Matt Pribble and Erin (Linley) (Grayson); Jacqueline Lamensky; Tucker Novosad and Kaitlin; Tristan Novosad and Jaelynn; Clayton Demny; Cassy Baldwin; and Chelsy Smith, all of whom greatly loved and adored him. Lee leaves behind a large extended family of aunts and uncles who cherished him deeply and will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Lee was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Jan; in-laws, Clarence and Ora Lee Lamensky; his grandparents, Albert and Ellen Meuth and Alvin and Etheleen Jan; and his uncle, Michael Meuth; as well as his sister-in-law, Patty Kay Lamensky.

Lee enjoyed spending his time in nature, bow hunting in the open fields of Del Rio and in the mountains of Colorado, along with fishing in Matagorda Bay. In the fall, you would find him at Friday night football games, working the chains for his beloved Needville Blue Jay football team. On Sundays, you would find him yelling in his garage for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Lee served many years on the Needville Little League board, as well as the Needville Youth Fair board. The happiest years of his life were spent watching each of his children on the field and in the show ring. Some of Lee's most treasured memories were spent with his wife exploring the Smoky Mountains, Rocky Mountains, Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon. He looked forward to his family summer trips to the Frio where he made many memories with friends and family. He was an active parishioner of St. Michael's Catholic Church and spent many hours dedicating his time to his faith. In keeping with Lee's generous spirit, he helped save the lives of many through organ and tissue donation.
