Funeral services for Orville B. Jan, 72, of Damon, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1995, at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. Charles Teykl will officiate the services.
Mr. Jan was born Jan. 5, 1923 in Sealy. He passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 1995 in Houston. He was a long-time dedicated employee of Sun Belt Hotels in Houston and also served in the Armed Forces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Anna Jan; brothers, Emil and Lumir Jan; sisters, Rosie Kalina and Leontina Jan.
Mr. Jan is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elsie Jan of Damon; daughter, Diane Oaks and husband, David, of Pecan Bend in Damon; son, Danny Jan and wife, Brenda, of Richmond; brother, Alvin Jan of Pleak; sisters, Adelle Marek of Port Lavaca, Marcella Sabrsula of Bellville, and Emily Teykl of Sugar Land; grandchildren, Dayna and Lindsey Jan, and Ryan and Drake Oaks.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 1995, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry (FM 2218 & Highway 59), Rosenberg. 731-341-8800.
