Funeral services for Hermina Amelia (Minnie) Sabrsula Schodek, 87, of Rosenberg, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 8, at the First Presbyterian Church, 1400 Radio Lane in Rosenberg. Dr. Charles Teykl will officiate the services. Graveside services will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1910 in Wallis to Jan and Rozina Malina Sabrsula, and she passed away on Feb. 5, 1998. She married Frank Schodek in 1935 and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1965.
Mrs. Schodek was also preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters and is survived by three sisters, Karolina (Lena) Koym, Emma Wasicek, and Olga Albina (Ollie) Browne.
She is survived by two sons, Franklin R. Schodek and his wife, Janiece, of Richmond; and Dr. Daniel L. Schodek and his wife, Kay, of Winchester, MA; five grandsons, Mark L. Schodek and his wife Vicki, Brad L. Schodek and his wife, Stacy, Ross A. Schodek and his fiancee, Helen Wolstenholme, Ned Schodek and Ben Schodek; and three great-grandchildren, Casey Nicole Schodek, Cisco Michele Schodek, and William Schodek.
Visitation will begin 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, in the stateroom of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home.
