Martha Jane Townsend Morehead died Sunday, September 13, 2009. She was the daughter of Arthur Sage Townsend and Lida Helen Townsend of Cleveland, Ohio. She was married for 50 years to Barker "Moose" Morehead, She is survived by sons Jim Morehead of Pompano Beach, FL ,Glen Morehead of Houston, TX, daughter JoAnne Linsenbach of Carlisle, PA and Cape Coral, FL, 4 grandchildren Wesley Morehead of Incline Village, NV, Sharon Florentine of Glenside, PA, Krista. Rodriguez of Carlisle, PA, and Christina Kate Morehead of Palm Springs, CA. She has two great-grandchildren Tatiana Renee Eatough and Lourdes Rodriguez of Carlisle, PA.
Marty was born March 20, 1924, and was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University, and she had her Masters in Counseling from F.A.U. She was also a member of Stewardess Alumni Association, having flown with Pennsylvania Central Airlines.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews North 6152 N. Verde Trail, Boca Raton at 4:00pm on Sept. 21. St. Andrews North has an auditorium just inside the main entrance. Reception follows at the back room of Duffy's.
