Services for Genealogist
Services will be at 10 a.m. today for Villamae Williams, chair of the Chambers County Historical Commission since 1979. Williams, 81, who had leukemia, died Saturday at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. She wrote several books on history and genealogy, including Stephen F. Austin's Register of Families. She leaves a husband, Floyd, a former Chamber county judge, treasurer and auditor, a son, Dr. Drew D. Williams of Baytown; and a daughter, Kathy Record of Hamshire-Fannett. Services will be at Sterling White Chapel Funeral home, 6123 Garth in Baytown, with burial in Williams-Barber Cemetery in Mont Belvieu.
