wife of John Randall "Rufus" Sanders
J.R. Sanders and his family were among the earliest settlers of Jack County. In 1826, John Radall Sanders married Phoebe Eaton. After living in Tennessee and Arkansas, they came to texas in 1847 settling in Navarro County until 1855, when they moved to northwest Texas. The area they located in 1856 would become Jack County.
