      Final rites for Edwin Pullen Maynard, 78, will be held at 4 pm Friday from Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Rev. Milton McWilliams of St. Mark's Episcopal Church officiating.


      Maynard had been a Bay City resident for 24 years. Interment will be in Matagorda Cemetery.

      Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Annis Long Maynard of Bay City; daughter, Mrs. George Stevenson of Houston; two stepdaughters, Mrs. C. W. Smith of Houston and Mrs. Isabell Horn of Bay City; sone Edwin P. Maynar Jr. of Houston and stepson James R. Horn of Alvin; sister, Mrs. J. J. Joslin of Denver, Colo.


      Active pallbearers are Doug Wells, Sam Cheek, J. F. Williams, Preston B. Wiliams, W. H. Boeker Sr., Frank Baker Sr. Honorary pallbearers are Rugeley Ferrill, Dinsmore Williams, Don Baker, and Jack Spurgeon.
