Rosie Evelyn Young born June 9, 1927 passed away October 7, 2013 at the Rest Haven Living Center at the age of 86. She was a member of Monroe Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by 2 daughters Alice McNabb and Connie (Tony) Ulvick both of Angie, a brother Kenneth (Delores) Jones of Angie, 4 sisters Louise Dillon Creel of Slaughter, La., Margie (John) Jenkins of Denham Springs, La., Betty (Frank) Graham of Tylertown, MS.,and Sarah Leslie of Bogalusa., 9 Grandchildren Clint Shelton, Dustin McNabb, Derek McNabb, Jared Rayborn, April Rayborn (Erik) Smith, Tyson Young, and Chad Young, Christin Ulvick and Amanda Ulvick, also 3 Great-grandchildren Reese Young,Riannon Young, and Allysse Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents Henry and Beulah Kemp, husband Charley B. Young, a son Charles L. Young, a sister Ann Castilow, and a brother-in-law Gary Leslie.
Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home Friday October 11, 2013 beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate the services and the interment will follow in the Rester Cemetery in Varnado.
