1923-JACOBSON (nee JANKE)-2010 Mrs. Joyce May Jacobson of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Mr. Kenneth Rodeen Jacobson, passed away on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Dwight (Julie) Jacobson of Chestermere, Lyle (Joyce) Jacobson of Weyburn, and Lane (Avis) Jacobson of Lethbridge; two daughters, Gloria (Darryl) Kallis of Medicine Hat, and Glenda (Steve) Jacobs of Red Deer; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Ken (Bertha) Janke and Elroy (Karen) Janke; two sisters, Ethel (Orville) Barnstable and Dorothy Halcomb; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Torrie Janke; two brothers, Vernon and Gerald Janke; and one sister, Opal Nedlisky. Joyce's grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life. She loved animals, horses, nature, camping and fishing. Joyce was strong in her faith. She enjoyed listening to music and travelling. Entertaining family and friends gave Joyce great pleasure. Joyce's love touched many people's lives and she will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Sunnyside Care Centre and to Pastor Bob Findley. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the FLETCHER FUNERAL CHAPELS, 237-4th Street NE, Weyburn, Saskatchewan on Friday, March 19th, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and at CHURCH OF CHRIST, 1115-1st Avenue NE, Weyburn on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in CHURCH OF CHRIST, Weyburn, Saskatchewan, on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Scott Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at St. Johns Cemetery, Beaubier, Saskatchewan.
