Funeral services are being held at 2:30
this afternoon from the Donnybrook High
School Gymnasium for Robert Vernon
Nore, 55, Donnybrook, who passed away
Sunday at a Minot Hospital.
Rev. Joseph Adkins and Rev. Arlyn
Norris will officiate at the service. Mrs.
Irene Gravesen will be accompanist and
Mrs. Julie Burton, vocalist.
Pallbearers will be Francis Goettle,
Terry Johnson, Joel and Larry Nore, Ray
Fenstermacker and Timothy Thompson.
Military rites will be by the Donnybrook
American Legion and the Kenmare VFW
Post 7049.
Interment will be made at Fairview
Cemetery, Stanley.
Mr. Nore was born June 11, 1925, at
Coulee, and was reared in Lowland
Township, Mountrail County. He married
Dorothy Faircloth in 1945. He served in the
United States Marines from 1943 until 1945,
and following his discharge they lived in
California and at Bremerton, Wn., and
Later moved to Stanley. In 1947, he went
into the house moving business with his
father and brother. On March 19, 1974, he
married Cheryl Thompson Goettle at
Bismarck, and they moved to Donnybrook
to make their home.
He was a member of the Kenmare VFW
Post No. 7049 and of the Donnybrook
American Legion; a member of the North
Dakota Movers Association, of which he
was past president; and a musician in the
area for thirty years.
He is survived by his wife; three Sons,
Robert Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; Marvin of
Dickinson and Jeffrey of Minot; three
daughters, Susan Wing and Laura Myers
of Stanley and Marilyn Borchardt in
Guam; stepsons, Raymond and Bernard
Goettle at home and stepdaughter, Angela
Goettle, also at home; a brother, Donald
Nore of Kenmare and eleven grandchildren.
