Harold William Hinote was born on February 21, 1919 in Bellingham to Claude and May Hinote and passed away March 29, 2002 in Lynden. He grew up on family farms in Whatcom County with his brothers Charles and Darrel and sister Phyllis. He graduated from Mount Baker High School. Harold served in the Army Air Corps, and married Sylvia Bredal of Bellingham on June 9, 1943. After serving in South Carolina in the Army Air Corps, Harold and Sylvia moved back to Bellingham. He worked at Mulhern's Appliance Store and then moved to Anacortes to open his own shop - Hinote's Appliance. After retirement, Harold and Sylvia moved into the previous home of his parents in Lynden.
Harold is survived by his wife Sylvia his daughter Annette and son-in-law Harold Thompson and two granddaughters: Hayley and Molly Thompson.
Friends and family remember Harold's love for gardening, walking, working on projects around the house, and helping others. He was a well loved man. May he rest in peace.
A memorial service was held Monday, April 1st at the Hope Lutheran Church in Lynden. Inurnment will be at Greenacres|Moles Cemetery. Memorials may be made to A.R.C. of Lane County, 45 W.
