Advocate News Service HOUSTON *****Funeral services for Charles Frank Bauer, 70, of Houston and formerly of Victoria, were held Saturday at Brookside Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Richard Steel officiating. Burial followed in Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Bauer died Thursday at a Houston hospital following a lengthy illness. Born September 16, 1916 in Victoria, Mr. Bauer had lived in Houston for the past 40 years. He was a retired auto was mechanic, and was a member of the English Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Irene Bauer of Houston; a daughter Leta Louise Carlile of Houston; a son, Frank Albert Bauer of Houston; two sisters, Valerie Gee and Gladys Bauer, both of Victoria; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren....
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
