MRS. ERMA SLOAN
Mrs. Erma Sloan, 80, of Victoria, died Sunday in a Victoria hospital following a lengthy illness.
The body will lie in state from 8a.m.-9p.m. Tuesday at Colonial Funeral Home, Port Lavaca, and will be transferred to Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
The Rev. Jeffery Alvestad will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Victoria.
Born July 9, 1903, in Port Lavaca, Mrs. Sloan had been a long-time Victoria resident.
She was a housewife and a member of the First English Lutheran Church, Victoria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Sloan, who died March 8.
Surviving are a daughter, Alice Elizabeth McCurdy of Seadrift; a brother, C. F. Bauer of Houston; two sisters, Miss Gladys Bauer of Port Lavaca and Mrs. Earl Gee of Victoria; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
