Margaret Irene Munz Margaret was born September 23, 1916 in National, Washington. Margaret went to be with her Lord on April 6th, 2009 at age 92. She attended Stadium High School in Tacoma, and in 1936 she married her lifetime partner George Munz. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Fortuna, California, where she served as a member of the Church council and later as president of the Congregation. She and George were charter members of the Redwood Empire Golf and Country Club. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband George, her loving brother Melvin Monsen, sister Hazel, and her parents Mat and Karen Monsen. She is survived by her son and his wife, James and Barbara Munz of Portland, OR, and her daughter and her husband Georganne and Tom Sawyer of Puyallup, WA; six grandchildren, Laurie (Sawyer) Brigge and her husband Jeff, Neil Sawyer and wife Zifei, Lon Sawyer, Dan Sawyer and wife Tanya, Jon Munz of Hillsboro, OR, and Joe Munz of Topeka, KS; and her great-grandchildren Larissa and Derrick Brigge of Spanaway, WA. The family wants to thank Judy and Tiffany Osage for the care they have provided over the last several years of Margaret's life. No services are planned, but friends are invited to attend a celebration of Margaret's life at the Sawyer-Stewart Lodge on Sunday, April 19th, 2009 from 1 to 4.
