Emma “Grandma” Gartman, 95, passed away in peace on Sunday, February 03, 2019 surrounded by her family in New Braunfels, Texas. Emma was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 50 years Charles. She is survived by her two daughters Rosa Tamplen and Janet Mack (Glenn); Grandchildren Michelle Berry, Glenda Hooks (Jim), Glenn Mack Jr. (Suzanne), Rodger Mack (Kimberly), Donna Womack; Great Grandchildren Troy Hansen, Nikki Hansen, Brooke Hansen, DeLana Watson, Lindsy Yaws (Michael), Maddison Mack, Connor Mack, Emma Mack, Trevor Womack, Trace Womack, Mark Berry Jr., Ashley Bluze; Great Great Grandchildren Josh Williamson, Maggie Hansen, Heidi Davidson, Evelyn Berry, Brea Berry, Jonathon Berry, Michael Blackwell, Richard Bluze.
Emma will be dearly missed by her immediate family, extended relatives, and many friends. She never met a stranger, and she always put others first. Emma dedicated her life to raising children and pushing them to be their best regardless of their situation.
Emma’s family would like to thank the staff at Hope Hospice and Kirkwood Manor for the loving care and support she received. Honoring Emma’s wishes there will be a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice in her memory. - [familysearch] Family Search.
